History
Mordru only chronicled appearance was in the 21st century, a battle with the Justice League in Metropolis. It is unclear why he targeted Metropolis or what he hoped to gain in the process. J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter, already knew of Mordru, calling him "The Dark Lord". He was also able to sense the level of Mordru's "malevolent magic".
Powers and abilities
Mordru exhibited several powers, the exact natures of which were never explicitly shown.
- Most often he uses an energy blast. His hands light up as if they are holding a ball of energy, which then shoot out streamers of energy which can take several forms, such as a destructive blast or an energy net.
- He has the ability to conjure up magical creatures, such as bird-like creatures or dragons for riding.
- With a stray blast, he caused a building to be animated and to attack Booster Gold.
It was not revealed how he was defeated, but his magic was nullified when he lost consciousness.
