Notes

Placement

  • Leviathan is without the helmet he dumped in Legion of Super-Heroes #76, but very much alive, and thus before his death on a mission to Gallen in Legion of Super-Heroes #83 from a mission begun in Legionnaires #39. In addition, he is on a mission to Xanthu continuously between Legion of Super-Heroes #81 and Legionnaires #39.
  • Gates is only with the Legion "because [his] people ordered him to stay", which they did in Legionnaires #37 (between LSHv4 #80 and #81). He is also on the Xanthian mission.
  • XS is not shown to leave Earth in the relevant span of LSHv4/Legionnaires issues, until the mission to Gallen.

It must go, therefore, either between pages of Legionnaires #37 (immediately before the three founders leave for Titan), or between pages of Legionnaires #39 (after the Xanthian team returns, but before the team including Leviathan and XS, but not Gates, leaves for the fatal mission on Gallen. Given that the latter placement has Emerald Eye's beginning to affect the cast, the earlier placement is easier.

Errata

Other stories

A Superman and Superboy lead story by the creators of Kon-El; and a Supergirl story in prelude to her then-upcoming ongoing series.
