This issue's story title, The Secret of the Mystery Legionnaire!, is identical to the title of the story in Adventure Comics #305, which was also written by Jerry Siegel and published just two years earlier. In that issue, the "Mystery Legionnaire" referred to a disguised Mon-El as opposed to this issue's Dynamo Boy.
