Synopsis
The Emerald Empress is addressing her new, secret member of the Fatal Five, introducing her to the other members, the Persuader, Blaze and Caress.
Near Earth, Dawnstar leads a team of Legionnaires on the search for Sensor Girl, who they fear may have vanished to join the new Fatal Five. In Metropolis, a group of Legionnaires, including Element Lad and the White Witch prepare to track the Emerald Empress using a giant emerald energized to home in on the energies of the Emerald Eye.
Rond Vidar does not seem to be recovering from the coma he was thrown into following an attack by Universo's lackey but he is kept from being transferred by Doctor Fashir, under the thrall of Universo.
A small team of Legionnaires tracking Mentalla use records on Titan. They believe she's gone to an uncle's retreat on the planet Stratus and rush off to peruse her there, despite Colossal Boy not being completely cleared for another mission.
Dawnstar tracks Sensor Girl's trail to Shanghalla where they find Mano waiting, prepared to kill a Legionnaire to earn his place in the new Fatal Five, but he is overwhelmed by Timber Wolf and Ultra Boy.
At Legion HQ, Element Lad and Chameleon Boy try to deduce the clues to Sensor Girl's identity, specifically that Saturn Girl said she was deserving to be a Legionnaire. The Legion team on Shanghalla have no luck picking up Sensor Girl's trail again when Brainiac 5 has a deductive breakthrough.
Colossal Boy's team tracks Mentalla to Stratus but are ambushed by the Fatal Five, where Dream Girl becomes to first to fall before the onslaught, right as Sensor Girl appears, but unclear who's side she is on.
Element Lad visits Saturn Girl to plead for reassurance that Sensor Girl can be trusted not to join the new Fatal Five and Saturn Girl reveals that Sensor Girl was already a Legionnaire.
Sensor Girl joins the battle against the Fatal Five, but their secret fifth member is revealed as Mentalla, as the Emerald Empress overwhelms Sensor Girl and strips away her costume, actually an illusion revealing her to be Queen Projectra.
