::Thanks for the response, Michael.  I know about the practice of dating bi-monthly issues.  But I was just wondering if we should list the cover date as it actually appears on the cover.  It seems to me that that would be more accurate and less confusing to readers who don't know about the indicia. -- [[User:He Who Wanders|He Who Wanders]] 08:47, 29 August 2007 (PDT)

::::Good point.  I guess the sticking point with me is that the term is ''cover date'', whereas ''series title'' is more common and commonly understood than ''cover title''. -- [[User:He Who Wanders|He Who Wanders]] 19:50, 29 August 2007 (PDT)

Like Reboot did with #199, I experimented with the subject headers, this time to make the titles of Part 2 and Part 3 subordinate to the Synopsis. I also left out a few categories that didn't apply (such as Powers and Abilities and Retcon Alert); these can always be inserted if anyone thinks they're necessary. He Who Wanders 19:50, 28 August 2007 (PDT)

Cover dates versus indicia

In the publication history, the cover date for this issue is given as January/February 1974. While this is indeed how it's listed in the indicia, it is not the cover date. I don't know if this is significant, but I thought it a distinction worth mentioning. -- He Who Wanders 20:02, 28 August 2007 (PDT)

Back in the olden days, a bi-monthly book would show only the second month of the two on the cover, with a thin box around it. So the Jan/Feb book via the indicia would have just Feb. on the cover, boxed. -- Omnicom 23:27, 28 August 2007 (PDT)
Thanks for the response, Michael. I know about the practice of dating bi-monthly issues. But I was just wondering if we should list the cover date as it actually appears on the cover. It seems to me that that would be more accurate and less confusing to readers who don't know about the indicia. -- He Who Wanders 08:47, 29 August 2007 (PDT)
*shrugs* Following the cover, this page would be at Superboy starring the Legion of Super-Heroes #200... - Reboot (SoM) talk page 08:50, 29 August 2007 (PDT)
