:: Now that you're updating the template again, can you add a field for original air date? -- [[User:Mgrabois|Omnicom]] 22:13, 24 January 2007 (PST)

Latest revision as of 23:13, 24 January 2007

We may want to consider including the following creator fields in the Episode template:

  • Original airdate
  • Producer(s)
  • Storyboard Artist(s)
  • Background Artist(s)
  • Animator(s)
  • Theme Song
  • Music (
  • Running Length

Why "Guest Actor(s)? Why not simply Actor(s) or Voice Actor(s) or Voice(s)?

Also, I needed to add HTML for the actors names to wrap correctly. Is there any way to build that in to the template? - Gopher 21:36, 13 July 2006 (PDT)

For most of them (including the GA thing), because its' an EPISODE template, not a Show template - most of these stay constant from episode to episode, and can be treated on a central page Conciseness - i.e., not wanting the thing to run away in size - plays a big part too. NKiT & FFH are the exceptions, since they're guest appearances [but that works out with the voices, since NKiT doesn't involve any S:TAS regular cast, and JLU didn't have an appears-every-episode cast anyway].
Running length may be an idea (although, remember that that varies slightly. I forget the conversion factor for a native NTSC (America/Japan) episode, but PAL (UK, Europe, Australia) runs at 25 frames/50 fields per second, where NTSC runs at 29.997/60 (no, I don't know why it's not a round 30...), and the coversion process alters the speed slgihtly. OA is trivia, and could get messy if we involve multiple countries (remember, Far from Home was shown in the UK **first**).
Finally - not really, no. And, BTW. if you need to insert a <br />, don't take a new line as well, since it widens the gaps between lines. - Reboot (SoM) talk page 09:29, 14 July 2006 (PDT)

Template Updates

Can we unlock this template so that I can update it to what I've been doing for the new cartoon episodes? -- Omnicom 10:59, 30 September 2006 (PDT)

What do you mean, "update it"? Surely the point is that the template doesn't change week-to-week, just the variables. Or do you mean add extra lines or something? [Sorry, confused & very very tired] - Reboot (SoM) talk page 03:13, 1 October 2006 (PDT)
