Tom McCraw (LSH/L* co-plotter/colorist), Mark Waid (former Legion
guy), and KC Carlson (LSH/L* editor) were the guests on America
Online's Legion of Super-Heroes Chat for Thursday, June 11, 1996.
Legion of Super-Heroes Chat is held every Tuesday in the DC
Comics Online area of AOL at 6:00 p.m. EST.  Legionnaires Chat is
held every Thursday in the same area at 10:00 p.m. EST.

The 20th century Legion will be guest starring in IMPULSE #21.
Impulse will also be in LSH.  Alan Davis is trying to figure out
how to draw him for the cover.

KC announced the reader election for Legion leader.  E-mail votes
are being taken at lshv...@aol.com (include your name and
address).  KC threatened to stuff any ballot stuffers into the
ballot box.  He joked that Chicagoans can only vote twice after
proving that they are dead.

Tenzil is not eligible to be elected leader.  Andromeda is also
ineligible.

Tom urged everyone to vote for Triad because he wasn't able to
vote.  Tom thinks Triad can handle the job--all three of her.

M'Onel is a full member, but he can request time off to explore
space.

Tom points out that Shrinking Violet will be the leader until the
next election.

Tom denies that the Emerald Eye is on the splash page for LSH
#80.  What's been identified as the Eye is only a lighting
effect.

Mark indicates that there are no plans for Jessie Quick to meet
the Legion.

The Legion will be crossing over into other titles, and the team
(or characters) will be prominent in the crossover stories.  KC
could not confirm a GL crossover.

The L* Annual has been broken into chapters at Roger Stern's
request.  Dan Jurgens has agreed to pencil one chapter.  The
inker hasn't been determined.

Tom opines that Roger Stern has found himself with the 30th
century now.  He teased that we should wait until we see what's
coming up.

Paul Levitz has a standing invitation to write a Legion story any
time he can fit a story into his schedule.

Shrinking Violet is still the same Salu Digby that we were
reading about a year ago.  There are no clones or Durlans taking
her place.

Triad is one of Tom's favorite characters.  He jokes that he
doesn't want to see Computo any time soon.  He protested loudly
when a fan suggested that one body could die.  He didn't like the
way the preboot version of the character reacted to losing a
body, saying that she acted giddy like it was no big deal.

Tom thinks that the Time Trapper and Glorith need to be treated
with respect because of the problems that time travel can cause
with continuity.  There are no plans right now for their return.

Lori Morning will not become Dream Girl.  Tom refused to give
away any secrets about Lori because they want to surprise the
fans.

There are plans for Andromeda, but we shouldn't expect to see
them soon.

KC has been discussing the Khunds, but it's too early to announce
any upcoming appearances (or lack thereof).

There are no new powers in store for Triad, it's only a matter of
appearance.

When a fan discussed an upcoming Legionnaire death, Tom suggested
that fans may be making "something" out of Tom Peyer's comment in
Wizard #59.

The final character travelling to the 20th century is Inferno.

The 20th century Legion will be based on Earth, in Metropolis to
start.

KC polled fans as to whether the Legionnaires should have secret
identities while in the 20th century.  He doesn't think their
real names will work in the 20th century.

KC promised that L* #43 will feature many, many characters, some
new.  Tom jokingly observed that artist Jeff Moy was already
groaning about the issue.
