A couple of recommendations
You might want to place a few words about yourself on your User page - helps people get to know you, and your name will display in blue rather than red, which makes you feel like you're one of the gang.
Also, as Reboot mentioned elsewhere, try to get in the habit of "signing" your discussion contributions with "~~~~" (no quotes when you actually use it). This automatically adds your name and a time/date stamp, and really helps keep track of who is saying what.
Another useful habit is to indent your conversations with each successive reply. Do this by adding a colon (":") at the beginning of a paragraph. Indent a bit more with "::", even more with ":::", and so on. Using the same method with "*" instead of ":" adds bullets, and "#" creates numbered lists.
Typing two single quotes before and after something italicizes the text and three single quotes makes it bold. Five makes it italic and bold (while four is just 'bold with an extra single quote'). For a quick list of helpful hints, see this cheatsheet.

Point or three
Hi, just a couple of things...
Template:Issue is probably the main infobox template you'll want to use if you're creating issue pages (there are a few variants, such as Template:Backup for second & more Legion stories within an issue). Copy and paste the area in the grey box (starting with {{issue and ending with }}, being sure to include both the curly brackets and everything in-between) in at the top of a page - each line represents a variable, just plug in the relevant bit, so that |era= becomes |era=Pre-Crisis and so on. The *_color and image bits are explained/keyed on the template page, and most of the others are reasonably obvious (although, obviously, ask if you need to).
Secondly, the first time a character gets mentioned on a page (and throughout the Roll Call just for simplicity), could you link to the pages for the character? If the name of the character is reused, like Cosmic Boy, you add a slash and the name of the era/"boot" the page is on to it. So post-ZH Cos is at Cosmic Boy/Post-Zero Hour, and the Pre-Crisis version is at Cosmic Boy/Pre-Crisis, and if a character name, like Kinetix, XS or Gates, has only turned up once, it just gets left Link to a /eraed page, like Cosmic Boy/Pre-Crisis, by typing [[Cosmic Boy/Pre-Crisis|Cosmic Boy]], which shows up as Cosmic Boy. There are a couple more exceptions, like the Invisible Kids, but see Legion Wiki:Disambiguation for that, or Disambiguation Table for a big page'o'links :)
There's also categories (just add [[Category:Whateverthecategorynameis]] to the bottom of a page.) The pre-Crisis issue categories need tidied up right now though, so that can wait.
