#23: Lessons Learned

After a camping trip causes Max Mercury to finally lose patience with being able to teach Impulse how to work in the real world, they return home. Later that night, Bart finds a masked figure speaking Interlac in their house, who pulls her mask off to reveal that she is his mother.

#24: Reunion

#25: You and Me Against the World

Synopsis

Impulse and his mother appear in the 30th century, around 13 years before the Legion's foundation, as fugitives from President Thawne's Science Police. They manage to free and hide Bart's great-grandparents, with an inadvertent assist from R.J. Brande, and subsequently find the two-year old Jenni Ognats before the sci-cops, but ultimately lose her to them.

They then track Thawne down to the wrecked Flash Museum, where he holds a laser pointed at Jenni's head. It is revealed that Meloni is Thawne's daughter, who broke with her father to marry Don Allen, and she reluctantly agrees to remain with him - with Bart returning to the 20th century - in exchange for Thawne leaving all Barry Allen's family be, including the infant Jenni.
