LEGION LOST #1
Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art and cover by Olivier Coipel and Lanning.
Legion Lost opens in an unknown part of space, as a member of an alien race comes across the wreckage of a destroyed Legion Outpost. Discovering log entries which introduce her to the Legion -- and detail the team's final moments onboard -- she searches the station further, finding several members of the fallen team hiding inside. But can the alien female find a way to communicate with the shattered heroes before the Progeny, a race dedicated to eliminating her kind, attacks them? In the months that follow, the Legionnaires will be forced to make their way through scores of worlds that have never heard of them, as they attempt to discover what has happened to the galaxy and friends they left behind. Arriving on new worlds, finding new allies and new enemies, they must search for means of transportation and supplies for their continued survival. Throughout the yearlong journey, long-standing relationships will be sorely tested as what's left of the Legion reevaluates what remains of their ideals and must make brutal, questionable choices if they ever hope to make it back home. Whoever makes it back will be transformed by the journey...a voyage that will redefine one of DC's greatest super-hero teams.
32 pages, $2.50, ships on March 1.
