According to Dave Cockrum's explanation in the foreward to Legion of Super-Heroes Archives Volume 10, although he pencilled the artwork and Murphy Anderson provided the inks, the credits were flipped because Cockrum was new in the industry and Murray Boltinoff did not want to offend Anderson who was by far the more senior artist.
