LEGIONNAIRES #78

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art by Jeffrey Moy, W.C. Carani, Olivier Coipel, and Lanning; cover by Moy and Carani.

Writers Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning make their Legion series debut. A routine rescue mission turns out to be anything but when Cosmic Boy, Monstress, Apparition, and Brainiac 5.1 encounter Emissary, the herald of the legendary world of Robotica. Once a mighty race, the Roboticans took a significant fall in the 25th century, and the reason for that decline may connect directly to Brainy himself! Provided the Legionnaires survive this threat, there may not be an Earth to return to, as seen in pages that hint at the "Legion of the Damned" storyline beginning in Legion of Super-Heroes #122.

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #122

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art and cover by Olivier Coipel and Lanning.

The Legion's greatest challenge begins in part one of the four-part "Legion of the Damned!" It's just one short month, but the alien threat known only as the Blight (introduced in Legion Secret Files #2) has completely taken over Earth and possessed its inhabitants. Only a few Legionnaires remain, but they may not last long, since the Blight are using the team's former colleagues to hunt them down and crush the last of Earth's resistance. Continued in Legionnaires #79.

32 pages, $2.50, ships on Oct. 27.

LEGIONNAIRES #79

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art and cover by Olivier Coipel and Lanning.

The battle against the menace of the Blight heats up in Part 2 of the 4-part "Legion of the Damned." After being stranded in space for a month, Cosmic Boy, Monstress, Apparition, and Brainiac 5.1 return to Earth and find the planet completely dominated by the alien race known as the Blight. Along with Chameleon, the remaining Legionnaires make a plan to storm the Blight headquarters, in the hopes of freeing their teammates -- and the rest of the planet -- from the Blight's control.

32 pages, $2.50, ships on Nov. 10.

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #123

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art and cover by Olivier Coipel and Lanning.

The secrets of the Blight are revealed in Part 3 of the 4-part "Legion of the Damned." But will that information help XS, the super-speeding Legionnaire who's in for the run of her life -- against her own mind-controlled teammates -- inside the Blight headquarters known as the Stem? Also, is there a traitor in the Legion's midst?

32 pages, $2.50, ships on Nov. 24.

LEGIONNAIRES #80

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art and cover by Olivier Coipel and Lanning.

The battle against the menace of the Blight reaches its heartbreaking conclusion of the 4-part "Legion of the Damned." Only seven Legionnaires remain to make their final stand against Atrophos and the Blight, who intend to use M'Onel's Daxamite energies as the catalyst to destroy life everywhere and achieve immortality. Even worse, there may be a traitor among the un-Blighted Legionnaires.

32 pages, $2.50, ships on Dec. 8.

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES #124

Written by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning; art by Angel Unzueta and Jaime Mendoza.

The aftermath of "Legion of the Damned" sets the stage for the bold new era for the Legion beginning in next year's Legion Lost. The battle with the Blight may be over, but the repercussions are greater than ever. A war-ravaged Earth has been quarantined by the United Planets, the blame for the Blight invasion has been placed on U.P. President Brande, and the Legion's existence is also called into question, since many of them -- under Blight control -- helped the alien race conquer the planet. Even worse, the Stargates which make intergalactic travel possible have been corrupted, becoming a deadly threat to any world near one (and that's pretty much all of them.).

32 pages, $2.50, ships on Dec. 22.

Legionnaires # 81

Dan Abnett/Andy Lanning/Adam DeKraker Final issue. The aftermath of "Legion of the Damned" leads to dramatic changes for the Legion! What was once the mode of intergalactic travel may become the mode of intergalactic disaster, as the Stargate network has been corrupted by the Blight invasion! Plus, as the United Planets votes on whether or not the Legion should continue to exist, Leland McCauley adds fuel to the U.P.'s concerns about having teenagers protect the galaxy and introduces his all-new, all-adult WorkForce!

Legion of Super-Heroes #125

Dan Abnett/Andy Lanning/Angel Unzueta/Jaime Mendoza Final issue. Against the United Planets' protests, the Legion makes one final effort to save the galaxy from the lethal rift that grows within the corrupted Stargate network. Unfortunately, even if the solution saves the galaxy, it will most likely destroy the entire Legion! This sets the stage for the eagerly anticipated LEGION LOST maxiseries, the first issue of which is offered in next month's Previews!
