Trivia about the episode
- This is the first episode in the series.
- The series was originally going to show the Legion travelling back in time to get Superman, but overshooting the exact time and landing too far back, in a time before Superman had fully developed his powers. Clark Kent would have taken the name Superboy to fit in with his teammates. However, developments during production regarding legal issues to the Superboy name caused the show to have to be rewritten to show Superman instead of Superboy.
- Booster Gold and Skeets are seen in a scene where Clark Kent races to get the Superman costume. Booster Gold is a janitor in the Superman museum, similar to his original appearance as a museum janitor in the 25th century.
- Several aliens in the streets of 31st century Metropolis were designed to resemble several Green Lantern races.
- Interlac is correctly used in a scene where Superman is lifting progressively heavier weights.
- The Mission Monitor Board symbols of many Legionnaires are seen in the opening credits.
- The Legion Clubhouse is once again modeled as half of an upside-down rocketship.
