McCraw offers that the roll call page will fill in a lot of people in that issue. There will be a New York area gathering of LSH creators and fans on Friday, April 12, 1996. E-mail Andrew Woodard at wooda...@acf2.nyu.edu for more information if you're interested in attending. Jeff and Cory will be making an appearance in Bridgeview, Illinois on Sunday, April 14, 1996, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will be at the Oremus Center and 79th and Iketo, one block west of Harlem Avenue. Peyer will be attending the San Diego convention this summer. Jeff will be attending both San Diego and Chicago. McCraw will be in Chicago. The Legion creators praised DC editor Dan Raspler, calling him a veritable god, a wonderwall, and more full of love than Donovan. If you mailed something to DC's offices, it might not have arrived. A mail truck was recently stolen outside their building. Peyer is writing a Showcase story with Vril Dox for Showcase '96 ## 11 & 12 that will involve lots of Coluan stuff. He's also writing this year's Adventures of Superman annual. McCraw is doing a Legion story for Showcase '96 #8. McCraw's Showcase story will have two villains. Peyer countered that his Showcase story had 6 heroes. McCraw shot back that Peyer's story had only one measly villain. KC thinks he screwed up the Persuader's name in his ANTI-GRAVITY ROOM appearance rather than having the correct name edited out. Regular AGR fans thought that his appearance might be rerun on Friday, so check your local listings. AGR appears on the Sci-Fi channel. There are no plans for Amethyst to show up in the Legion titles soon. KC planted the information about the Moy tongues in the "Watch This Space" column for books that shipped August 3, 1996. Peyer asked Moy why all of his characters kept sticking their tongue out, but they never seem to lick anything. Moy responded that Comic Code Man ruins everything. Peyer observed that they haven't portrayed any Spark/Shrinking Violet relationship in the postboot for the code to object to. As far as Peyer knows, Spark and Vi hardly know each other. Peyer is thinking about Pulsar Stargrave right now, so an appearance is a possibility. The Legion swearword "squadj" was created when KC became tongue- tied on "Espionage Squad" at the last Legion summit. The next tuckerization may be in L* #40. Keep an eye out for the LKOWians if they survive Stern's scripting. Peyer indicated that Spark would not become Light Lass while he lived. He thought it was sexist to take the lightning away from her. McCraw rejected an idea to have the Legion travel back to the time of the first Braal-Titan war indicating that they've done enough time travel stuff already. Peyer promised a Klordny story by next Klordny. He plans to skip the Klordny parade because he would rather do the twist on flying disks. McCraw elaborated on the color scheme to determine Science Police ranks. Black collars mean foot soldier, rookie or private. He thought red was for sergeants, teal for lieutenants, and white for captains. Peyer quips that he's thinking of introducing a 5 year gap. KC promised reader elections for leader soon. They were trying to coordinate the announcement between the lettercol, AOL, and "someplace else." Jan Arrah will be too busy for a romance with Schvaughn Erin anytime soon. When Vernon Harmon asked about the SP officer from the first Mano story, KC asked if Vernon was related to Tom McCraw. Peyer asked if we'd like to see the SP officer again. Kinetix will be getting more focus soon. Chameleon can speak more languages than three. Peyer later joked that Pig Latin was required of all Espionage Squad members. When asked if President Chu would be reappearing, KC revealed R.J. Brande's new campaign slogan--"I think we're through with Chu." McCraw thought that she'd been sent off to the Plevitz- G'ff'n war, and Peyer was interested in making her Super-ex- president. KC thought that Mano was turning out to be an interesting villain. He likes to let Tom, Tom, and Roger Stern surprise him regarding Mano. McCraw pointed out that KC never knew when Mano might creep up on him. Peyer thought that Mano would have helped Valor destroy the bombs in LSH #80 if he'd been asked. Peyer and McCraw observed that Mano would not be joining the Legion. McCraw thought that Mordecai might make an interesting replacement for Mano in the Fatal Five. McCraw opined that Validus and Mordecai together would crush a lot of things. McCraw thought Caress would be good, too. Spark's secret admirer will be revealed soon. Jeff confessed that he was the admirer during the chat. McCraw promised that Tenzil will always be around, but he wasn't sure for now if Tenzil would ever become a member. The next villain that the Legion faces is someone that has already appeared in the postboot stories. After that, KC promised a really nasty villain that the fans would hate them for. Moy asked KC for a villain that makes all the Legionnaires stick their tongues out. Triad will be getting a new look soon which is a total redesign. Jeff is doing the redesign. Jeff indicated that the new design will include skirts. Triad will be getting a new symbol. Peyer promised that there will be many redesigns in the months to come. All new uniforms will stick to the stripe and belt motif. KC indicated that there will be romances in the Legion books. Peyer noted that they were juggling at least 3 romantic sub-plots right now. One of the characters receives their first kiss in L* #39. The creators were all online to reveal the cover to L* #37 and Valor's new codename: "M'Onel". The creators promised that the new name would be explained in L* #37. Jeff Moy designed M'Onel's uniform with some input from KC. The uniform is similar to the traditional Mon-El costume with a horizontal band made of starfield material. Rectangular tacks replace the large disks on the costume. The uniform shows an "M" on M'Onel's chest. Peyer joked that M'Onel was the new name for Tenzil. He suggested that Tenzil and Valor would fight for the name, and speculated as to whether even a Daxamite could prevail against acid spit. The Dream Girl appearance has been postponed until LSH #84. She was dropped from LSH #83 when that story underwent a rewrite. Dream Girl doesn't have much screen time in her first appearance, but McCraw promises more Nura is in the works. Peyer thinks Legionnaire tryouts are scheduled for an upcoming issue of L*. He guessed it was L* #43 or so.
