Bits of LegionWiki business?

Care to post a little info about yourself? It might encourage more visitors to get involved if they can get to know the active contributors a bit. --Gopher 21:00, 17 July 2006 (PDT)

Legion of Super Heroes cartoon page

Re: Legion of Super Heroes cartoon

I noticed this is a straight copy off Wikipedia, given formatting "Infobox television", etc. Did you write it all yourself? If you did, that's fine, but because we've not got got everything licensed under the GDFL, and also don't fulfil the provisions, including a prominent "this content was taken from" link back to the original Wikipedia page, we - legally - can't use anything from WP not written by the person who posted it here [1]. That's why the note's there below the edit box saying "Do not copy work from Wikipedia that you did not write yourself." - Reboot (SoM) talk page 12:19, 14 January 2007 (PST)

It's not a straight copy, I did modify it a bit, but yes, it is primarily from there. I have been one of the editor/writers of that page since March 2006 (if you look at that page's history, I've edited it as "Wizardimps") and while I did not write every single word on the page, I have had a hand in a large part of it and my work cannot be separated out from anyone else's. I did consider the "do not copy" note and decided that as one of the primary authors I was within my right. I can add a "this content is based on Wikipedia material" if that'd help. -- Omnicom 20:36, 14 January 2007 (PST)

Don't upload any images just now.

I don't know what's going on, but I just tried uploading a tweaked version of Image:TriplicateGirl.jpg because the thumbnail of it wasn't showing up, and it hasn't uploaded (giving the same problem as Gopher had with the CoME image). Then I hit the "rev" button (i.e, trying to replace the new image with the original) and the new copy of that failed as well. There's something going on with the images, and unless it's sorted, best not to try uploading anything for a couple of days... - Reboot (SoM) talk page 11:50, 28 January 2007 (PST)

Update - I just managed to get the image to revert properly, and it's now showing up on the page as well. I haven't found any info on what causes this sort of misupload yet though, so if the server's running at all slowly, or any images aren't showing up, leave off the uploading until it's up to speed. Otherwise, upload away as you will unless/until you get that sort of message again. - Reboot (SoM) talk page 18:08, 28 January 2007 (PST)
