Can someone rename this image and the Fear Factory image? I accidentally switched the numbers up when uploading them. The correct names should be 1.06_Phantoms.jpg and 1.04_Fear_Factory.jpg. The relevant episode pages are already set to take the updated names. -- Omnicom 00:36, 12 December 2006 (PST)

This actually brings up something I've been wondering about - how come you're prioritising the production order over the airdate? I can think of quite a few shows that deliberately record out-of-order, due to [voice] actor availability, wanting to leave trickier episodes until later, etc (including a few cartoons, like the original He-Man where the intended ep 1 was done fourth). Is there something blatantly "off" about them, like a reference to something which hasn't happened yet in airdate order or somesuxh? - Reboot (SoM) talk page
The easiest way to correct this is to upload new versions of the images with the correct names. For the old versions with the incorrect data, you can edit the description with something like "Duplicate image - Please Delete". Include PLEASE DELETE in your editing summary line as well. This puts the correct images into immediate use, and when Reboot can attend to it, he can delete the dupes. -- Gopher 04:53, 12 December 2006 (PST)
The reason I'm using production over airdate order is because that's how the episodes were intended to be shown, and eventually I expect them to be collected on DVD in this order. The original "Star Trek" aired out of order, for example, but now they're always shown in the intended order. Ditto "Firefly", "Crusade", and lots of other series [1]. Plus we don't know what might be referenced later in continuity. -- Omnicom 21:56, 12 December 2006 (PST)
Just to add further comment, airdate order is determined by network executives, who are often motivated to show a stronger episode early in the season to attract new viewers, even if this does not exactly correspond to how the show's creators intended the episodes to fit together. Also, airdate order is not always the same in different regions of the world, or in the case of the USA, not even the same in different parts of the country. -- Gopher 06:04, 13 December 2006 (PST)

DVD

Okay, you were wrong. Phantoms is on DVD as 1x04: http://www.legionworld.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=11;t=000121;p=2#000021

And I'm still not convinced the production order was ever the intended airing order, I've seen too many examples to the contrary [PS: Star Trek is currently airing on BBC2... in original airing order]. - Reboot (SoM) talk page 05:22, 28 May 2007 (PDT)
