Errors and Oddities
When the flashback takes place in Legion continuity is unclear, due to a lineup which is odd in the context of Legion comics published during 1999 - not only does Cosmic Boy act as leader, where Saturn Girl was Legion leader at the time of publication, but Invisible Kid was a member of the team stationed at the Legion Outpost, whereas the other two were members of the Legion Plaza team.
Other
This issue finally disproved the hints that had been dropped - notably in Legionnaires 37 and Legionnaires #52 - that R.J. Brande was a 30th century J'Onn J'Onzz in disguise. The Legion editor of the time, K.C. Carlson, would later confirm this original intent in a blog comment<ref>
BTW, did I ever tell you that, in the Legion reboot, our R.J. Brande was actually the Martian Manhunter? We waited too long to reveal it and then Dan Raspler (JLA editor) wouldn't let us do it because it might screw up J'onn.'
At this late date, I'm not sure if it was a good idea or not, but we did plant some clues. (And don't forget, he was at Garth and Imra's wedding LONG before we ever got close to the book.) -- K.C. Carlson, "Geniusboy Firemelon" blog, October 2008</ref>
