Tom Peyer, Jeff Moy, and Ron Boyd were the guests on America Online's LSH
Chat Hour on Tuesday, July 18, 1995. KC Carlson made a brief cameo
appearance. LSH Chat Hour is held every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. EDT in the DC
Online Chat area of America Online. Previous guests have included Mark
Waid, Tom Peyer, Tom McCraw, Jeff Moy, Ron Boyd, KC Carlson, and Mike McAvennie.

SPECIAL THANKS - To Sidne Ward who supplied me with the chat log that was

==========================================

KC Carlson indicated that Roger Stern would be a guest on the AOL Chat for
Tuesday, July 25.

Roger hasn't actually joined the team yet, but will start working with them
in about a month or so.

As of chat time, Jeff Moy wasn't sure if he would have a table in artists'
alley at the San Diego convention. He might be sharing a table with someone.

Tom Peyer agreed that softcover Legion Archives would be nice.

The House Ads currently appearing in other books are out of date. They were
stuck in production for months.

Jeff is staying on the books as penciller.

Ron Boyd was a runner-up in the CBG awards for inker. He hadn't heard about
it prior to the chat.

Ron has worked with Jeff before, but he wasn't satisfied with his work on
the project.

Sales are respectable on the Legion books. Tom wishes they were better.

Tom thought Colleen Doran would be great to get for an mini-series or special.

The first time that Ron had read Legion is when he got the assignment. He
has a friend who's a Legion "nut" that lets him borrow the comics. (He
meant nut in only a good, loving, gentle way.) He's since read a lot of the
back issues, and has a lot of affection for the characters. He hadn't heard
of "That Damned Tabloid", though.

R.E.B.E.L.S. '9x--which Tom Peyer writes--ends with issue #18, on sale in
early 1996. Tom doesn't know where the characters will end up after that.
Tom doesn't think Phase will get any sort of final resolution by then.

Tom noted that there are no bad characters, only bad writing.

Jeff noted: "Villains? You want villains? We got VILLIANS!"

Jeff will show Andromeda's wonder bra if he ever gets to explore the final
frontier of her bedroom.

There are no plans to bring Karate Kid onto the team, but Tom would like to
put him on eventually.

There are no plans for Chemical King. There are no plans for Timber Wolf,
but Tom likes him a lot. There are no plans for Shadow Lass, Kent
Shakespeare, or Kono.

Tom remarked that there was a big Stone Boy annual coming. It would be one
picture statted throughout the annual. Jeff volunteered to draw it. Tom
thinks about Stone Boy obsessively. (ED - This in response to one fan's
repeated demands for Stone Boy.)

There is disease in the 30th century.

Tom McCraw may have some plans for the subs, but Tom Peyer hasn't given them
much thought yet. Ditto on the Wanderers.

There's "lotsa cooking" in store for Tenzil Kem.

Tom promised to try not to kill Invisible Kid. IK's not getting a power
boost, either.

Tom likes Evolvo, but he's not slated for membership.

Tom would like to have Supergirl/Matrix join the Legion.

The Legion is administrated by U.P. bureaucrats. The bureaucrats make the
rules. Right now, the Legion can't make decisions regarding its membership.

Imra is mostly herself after the Legionnaires Annual.

It's "hard to say" how the Saturn Girl/Live Wire romance will sort out.

Andromeda is in jail willingly. She does not need to be rescued. Andromeda
is voluntarily isolating herself, not jailed under UP law. Tom noted that
there's a law against giving Daxamite maniacs anti-lead serum. It's a
violation of the Metropolis penal code, section 6789034r.

Tom thinks Brainiac 5 would be pretty relieved to find out that Andromeda
was alive, but that he might act pretty annoyed.

Madame Chu was on a real rant in LSH #72 regarding membership. She had
previously given Cosmic Boy the authority for members. Her "No new members"
means that Ultra Boy and Element Lad are not on the team as of that issue.

Rimbor is not part of the UP. Planets do get upset if they don't have a
representative on the team. Chu will risk upsetting planets.

Yes, that was "Element Lad". Jan's postboot codename is Element Lad.

We don't know if Element Lad is gay yet.

Dirk Morga (Sun Boy/Inferno) will make his postboot debut in the next issue
of Legionnaires. Tom prefers the name Sun Boy for him, but some of his
co-creators disagree.

The funeral service is on Earth because the UP HQ and LSH HQ is located
there. Tom hasn't given any thought to where Apparition was buried. Tom
indicated that there was probably a service for her on Bgtzl, too.

Tom defended Ultra Boy's condition at the funeral by noting that his heart
was broken wide open. Tom thinks Ultra Boy is a tough guy with a heart of mush.

Jeff noted that perhaps Spider Girl and Ultra Boy wil get back together.

The Espionage Squad is "busy, busy, busy." Look for the ES in L* #29, but
Jeff warned to look hard because they might be tough to see.

Live Wire isn't in the Superboy crossover.

That was Valor in the stargate.

Tom didn't think the old "Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes" logo
would be reappearing for the crossover. He noted that the DC bigwigs get
involved if the logo appears on the cover.

We'll have to wait and see if Superboy joins after the Superboy/LSH crossover.

Spark's admirer will be revealed "soon-ish".

We'll see more of the Braal/Titan war in early 1996.

A Brainy spotlight is coming in LSH #77. There is a Brainy/Lyle rivalry.

The Emerald Empress will appear soon enough.

"Legion + Time Travel = Underworld." LSH #75 is an Underworld crossover and
features XS and ******* trapped in the timestream.

Brainiac 5 was messing with time travel in "Guy Gardner: Warrior" #29. The
mug that he picked up will be back. EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THE MUG IS WRONG!

Star Boy will be back by at least LSH #76. Tom responded that "Star Boy has
his own powers" when asked if Star Boy would arrive with Daxamite powers.

They have "lotsa groovy" plans for Shrinking Violet. Tom likes the
character. Her story is slowly building in the background and will get the
spotlight in early 1996.

A secret villain will be taking advantage of the the Legion's current
crisis. The villain is someone who's both new and someone we've seen before.

LSH #76 sees the membership of another new member who tried out before.
It's Gates.
