Tom McCraw and Ron Boyd were the guests on America Online's Legion of Super-Heroes Chat for Tuesday, February 20, 1996. LSH Chat is held every Tuesday in the DC Comics Online area of AOL at 6:00 p.m. EST. Legionnaires Chat is held every Thursday in the same area at 10:00 p.m. EST. Regular guests include Tom Peyer, Tom McCraw, Roger Stern, Mark Waid, Jeff Moy, Ron Boyd, KC Carlson and Mike McAvennie. DISCLAIMER - Information presented herein is not guaranteed to be reliable. Misinterpreatations of the creators' comments do occaisionally occur. SPOILERS - Information that tends to spoil current or upcoming issues is located towards the end of this report. No intervening spoiler space is used. SPECIAL THANKS - To Edward Douglas for forwarding the copy of the chat log that this report was based on. ===================== Tom reported a a coloring goof in LSH #79 that he predicted everyone would notice. The seperators goofed up on Star Boy's hair in the two page spread on pages 2-3. (ED - I didn't spot it.) Tom's first LSH issue was v4 #1. Ron reports that his Showcase '96 story is pretty much set. He needs to hear final confirmation from KC Carlson. The Empress likes killing. Tom thought it was obvious. Either Celeste or someone at Celeste's urging sabotaged the transporter in LSH (v4) #42 so that it would not transport Brainiac 5's clothing. Tom reports that Roger Stern seems to like being on the Legion creative team, but he still won't change his name to Tom. Tom would like to see a LSH/Metal Men crossover, but it's highly unlikely. Infectious Lass has a bad cold and must stay in bed. There are no plans for the Substitute Heroes right now, to Tom's regret. Tom was cool to the idea of bringing back Charma, fearing that fans would complain loudly about more boob girls. There will be a few pages set in the LSH cafeteria soon. Andromeda probably doesn't know that Brainiac 5 was jailed. Tom pointed out the irony of that. Tom Peyer didn't warn Tom McCraw before introducing the points in R.E.B.E.L.S. #17. Work Force wasn't brought in to help with the Sun Eater because the Legion doesn't really get along with Work Force and President Chu didn't ask Work Force. The real reason that Work Force wasn't invited was revealed in LSH #79. Chameleon will surprise a few people real soon. Tom hopes that Cham will learn Interlac soon, but Tom Peyer seems to be having too much fun with Cham's dialogue. Cham is the Durlan religious leader right now, but Tom isn't sure if he's a Pope. Ferro is being saved for something better than the introduction of the Sun Eater. We won't see the "iron twins" soon. (ED - The "iron twins" refers to Andrew Nolan and Douglas Nolan, the preboot "Ferro" and his twin brother with identical powers.) For fans requesting downtime, Ron pointed to LSH #80. There will be a couple of short issue stories before the creators jump onto another big story. The covers for LSH #80 and L* #37 have been withheld from AOL because they spoil the stories. Neither of them feature Apparition. Tom pointed out that no one said Apparition was returning. He quipped "would we keep that from you?" then admitted that they probably would. Dirk Morgna shows up in LSH #81. He doesn't have a costume yet, and you couldn't see it if he did. Ron had just finished inking the scene where the Secret Admirer was revealed. He was finished with LSH #81, and was awaiting LSH #82. Tom predicted some surprises in the Legion Rescue Squad. One of the members is female, and it isn't XS.
