The coloring was done by the company. Jeff said "we'll see" when a fan asked if any posters were forthcoming. Tom indicated that KC Carlson is working on the reader elections for Legion leader right now. He didn't know when the polls would open. Jeff is going to the Chicago and San Diego conventions this summer. Tom is only planning on Chicago. Jeff enjoyed doing the next batch of covers. The stories evolve out of phone conferences among the creative team. Tom outlines the issues. Tom Peyer will clean up the outline and stick words in. Jeff usually pencils about a page to a page and a half a day. He typically puts in about 12 hour days on the days that he's pencilling. He uses blue to lay out pages and regular lead to finish. He usually does one or two thumbnails before moving onto the actual page. Tom wouldn't mind seeing ADVENTURE COMICS return, but wasn't sure where the numbering should begin. Tom thought that DC had lost but later regained the copyright to the name "Adventure Comics." There are no plans for a third Legion title right now, but there some upcoming SHOWCASE '96 stories and mini-series are in the works. The SHOWCASE stories are in #8 (written by Tom McCraw), #9 (written by LSH inker Ron Boyd), and ## 10 & 11 which is a L.E.G.I.O.N. story written by Tom Peyer. Tom has lots of Legion reference materials that he uses when plotting out stories. Tom thought that the VR opened up the possibilities of doing "Elseworlds"-type stories. Tom didn't think Guy Gardner or Lobo would work well with the LSH. There are no real plans for Ferro. There is nothing set yet in the Legion books for him. (ED - Watch this space for future developments!<g>) The creators have a few good ideas for the "Legends of the Dead Earth" annual theme, one of which has already been hinted at in the books. Jeff indicated that Kinetix's tattoo had never been the moon and star, it was just something that he doodled. Tenzil won't be joining the Legion soon, but he will have things to do in upcoming stories. The lettercol's announcement that Quislet was appearing in EXTREME JUSTICE was news to Tom. (ED - Speculation is rampant that Mike McAvennie confused Quislet with Booster Gold's sidekick, Skeets.) Tom clarified that Gates is only able to teleport to places within his line of sight or to places that he's already been. Tom thought that Gates would "bug" Leviathan even more now that Star Boy is leaving the team. Tom observed that the character was named "Gates" because when he teleports, he opens a "gate" to another area. Tom believes that Gates' real name is still Ti'Julk Mr'Asz and that Roger was just having a bit of fun in L* #37 by not mentioning it. Tom pronounces "M'Onel" the same way he pronounces "Mon-El." He believes Roger Stern made the first suggestion about the different spelling for the name. Tom complained that he had to reverse his brain to think M'Onel again rather than Valor. The creators all wanted the name back, and Tom believes the Superman creators caved in after they changed the name's spelling. Tom noted that the team had tried to keep the "M'Onel" name a surprise, along with a few other upcoming matters that had remained secret so far. The creators all wanted the name back, and Tom believes the Superman creators caved in after they changed the name's spelling. Jeff redesigned M'Onel's uniform, including the boots and gauntlets. KC suggested the "M" chest design for the costume. Jeff wanted to put the Martian face on the uniform. Jeff thought that he might tweak the costume some more. Jeff had a lot of fun doing the cover to L* #37, particularly the Martian moon. Tom wanted to use the Rogues Gallery in L* #37 because so many of them aren't around anymore. Jeff said that Captain Cold was the "coolest" Rogue to illustrate. There may be more Virtual Reality stuff coming up very soon. Tom didn't think the original Superboy would be showing up in the VR, though. Andromeda will pop up from time to time. She's not forgotten. The secret admirer is revealed in LSH #81. There are a few things cooking with Proty. (ED - The participants offered numerous Proty recipes. Tom himself offered Proty stew and Proty over pasta.) Star Boy returns to Xanthu in LSH #83. Tom clarified that everyone remained with the team after L* #37 except Andromeda, but that Star Boy's status would be resolved in LSH #83. There's no Sun Boy yet, but Dirk Morgna will show up in LSH #81. Kinetix will be receiving a lot more story time in coming issues. Tom observed that Ultra Boy is having some problems, and the nature of the problems will be revealed this summer. He's never said that Apparition is coming back. Triads' upcoming costume changes don't resemble any of her past costumes. There may be a tryout issue in L* #43. Tom thought the tryout might be partially a joke and partially serious.
