He started coloring LSH with v4 #1. Jeff was working on pencils for L* #44. Tom liked most of the Giffen run in v4. He wrote the preboot Legion stories staring with LSH #50, and he and Mark Waid wrote END OF AN ERA. Tom does attend conventions, but doesn't like to fly to them. Referring to Invisible Kid's fear of heights, he commented that it was only fair that a Legionnaire also be afraid of heights. Tom promises that next year's books are going to be intense. He indicated that they had shocking stories coming up along with L* #50 and LSH #100. Tom indicated that a couple of Legion mini-series had been proposed, but he wasn't sure of their status. Tom thinks of Tenzil Kem and Chuck Taine as supporting characters for now. Tom observed that Evolvo was as much a good guy as Karate Kid or Ultra Boy. Tom was skeptical about renaming XS. He indicated that Image had the rights to the name "Rush." He wasn't impressed with the name "Girl Flash." He pointed out that Tornado was already taken by her parents and a red android. Tom promised no more death scenes for a while. We may see Universo, but the appearance won't be soon. Jeff quipped that Live Wire and Spark can be identical twins because they come from a strange planet. The creative team likes having Live Wire with a mechanical arm. Tom speculated that Live Wire wears the arm to make himself feel normal. When asked about a possible descendant of Aquaman in the 30th century, Tom stated that they tried to keep the 30th century fairly clean from 20th century ties. Jeff lamented not being able to draw Spark for a while. He indicated that it wouldn't be the same if he were to draw Live Wire in a padded suit. Tom commented that we would have to see how the secret admirer plotline plays out. He noted that just because the characters are separated does not mean that they put their feelings on hold. Invisible Kid will be on the cover to L* #45. Jeff promised that he'd be visible. Tom stated that it had been the creators intention to give the Emerald Eye to Shrinking Violet since the "Future Tense" storyline. The 20th Century storyline is not going to be permanent. There are tentative plans for Andromeda. Tom indicated that the creators were discussing doing another Girl's Night Out story. The Work Force members may show up later this year. Spider Girl is in L* #43 (the tryout issue). Inferno is part of the 20th century team. Some of Kinetix's history will be provided in L* #42. The Legion tryouts in L* #43 are open to anyone in the 30th century. He indicated that we could look for a few members of the Legion of Substitute Heroes during the tryouts. Tom promised that McCauley would fill out the ranks of Work Force soon. He indicated that the new members might be someone we know. Work Force will remain a "work for hire" type group. He admitted that McCauley might look up some of the rejects from the Legion tryouts. Tom indicated that future stories would see the return of a couple of major Legion villains that hadn't been seen in over 10 years. L* #45 includes a creepy villain. Tom complimented Jeff on the redesign of a villain, calling the design cool and creepy- looking. LSH #88 features Impulse. LSH isn't directly crossing over with IMPULSE, but the characters will appear in each other's books in the same month. Tom promises that both books will be a lot of fun that month. Tom said that whether Ferro is the character that comes back from the 20th century depends on whether he survives FINAL NIGHT.
