Did you just leave off in 1983, or did you stop there for a reason? Obviously, "Whatever Happened to the Man of Steel" should be the logical stopping point, but then it's just "Superman Family/Pre-Crisis".

If you're covering all of the Superman family of titles from the Weisinger stable, will it cover the Superman-related titles of the Schwartz era too - the World of Krypton and Phantom Zone miniseries, the Ambush Bug issues, DC Comics Presents, JLA, etc. - or just the continuation of the Superman, Action, and other Weisinger titles which merged into "Superman Family"? -- Omnicom 19:53, 18 October 2006 (PDT)

Actually, I created the page while I was waiting for a meeting to start at work today, and stopped when people started to arrive. However, I had reached about where I wanted to go. Don't know if you have seen the various pages I proposed on the LPH intro page, but some of the titles you mentioned I was envisioning going elsewhere. A page for all mini-series (Secrets of the Legion, Cosmic Boy etc, as well as World of Krypton, Phantom Zone, etc), a page for what I call guest appearances (DCCP, JLA, Brave & Bold, etc).
Perhaps the Superman Family page is not well named. I was originally thinking that I would create a page for each series that had any significant amount of appearances, but there were so few Lois Lanes and Jimmy Olsens that it just didnt seem worth it to create a page just for them. I figured I would combine them with the Superman issues for one page, the common feature bing that they were "family" series which the Legion had never had a regular series in. (Adventure, Action and Superboy v1 have their own pages). However, once Superman was rebooted with #1, etc, I feel like these titles are really not part of the old Weisinger "family" of titles any more, so I considered those for the guest appearances page.
I guess my reasoning is pretty convoluted. What would you suggest? Do you think we should just break out the various Superman family titles into their own pages? Should a Superman page have issues from both Superman v1 and v2? The current Adventure page lists all issues until the series ended, and the current Action pages lists up through 741 (last issue that we have listed anywhere), since its still the original series. Are appearances in the new Superboy title guest appearances or Superman Family? So many ways to slice this - perhaps we can do it several ways...

How about Legion Publication History/Superman titles/1950-1985? Superman Family is bad because, well, it's the title of a comic, and all the other such pages are named after individual comics. - Reboot (SoM) talk page 08:17, 19 October 2006 (PDT)
I've been thinking that I should just break out a Lois Lane Page, Jimmy Olsen page, etc. A Superman page could have all issues of any series with that name. Some of the more general pages, like mini-series, guests appearances would still be valid, but I think the whole Superman Family page concept I was using is just to convoluted no matter how we name it. I'd have to check, but I believe that all or most of the actual Superman Family issues are reprints, so those could just go on the reprints pages. -- Gopher 11:26, 19 October 2006 (PDT)
