Justin Thyme

When Jim Shooter returned to scripting the Legion with Legion of Super-Heroes v5 #37, he had planned for the initial story arc to be 16 issues. For reasons not fully explained by DC (see related links below), the series was cancelled with issue #50 before that story could be fully realized. The final issue abruptly ends the story with many pieces of the plot completely unaddressed. The writing was credited to "Justin Thyme" (just in time), possibly because no one wanted to take credit for the sloppy ending or because no one wanted to go on record as being the one to replace Shooter in this messy situation. In any regard, the pseudonym has not appeared before or since in Legion credits.
