Tom was excited to be working with Mark Waid on the Superman arc that's
seeing print in May, along with the Adventures of Superman annual.
Jeff had a great time in Japan and wants to go back. He survived a minor
earthquake while he was there. He hadn't quite caught up on his pencilling
work yet.
Ron is inking the 6 page LSH story for SERGIO ARAGONES DESTROYS THE DC UNIVERSE.
Anti-Lad has been wiped from Peyer's memory.
Peyer thinks Humberto Ramos would be great for the Legionnaires annual.
McCraw hasn't had any run-ins with any angry Legion fans, but he was hiding
after the Annual came out.
McCraw wasn't sure when DC would produce flight rings.
Peyer has not attended many conventions since he started the Legion books,
and he's looking forward to it.
There are no plans for Ferro Lad at this time.
There are no Green Lanterns in the 30th century for now. McCraw observed
that one of the reasons for the reboot was to avoid those kinds of problems.
Peyer would like to do a humor issue.
Gates was not originally intended to become a Legionnaire when he first
appeared in LSH #66.
Peyer said that there was a chance of seeing Tyroc done properly in the
reboot, and polled the fans to determine who would like to see him.
Peyer would like to do an Invisible Kid origin story. There's a lot to Lyle
that readers don't know.
McCraw didn't know who the next spotlight would be about. He polled the
fans for ideas.
McCraw thinks Triad would be the best Legion leader because she could do the
job three times faster. Peyer thinks Cosmic Boy is a pretty good Legion leader.
Peyer points out that Mon-El's name was not changed to Valor to be
fashionable, but to take him out of Superman's backstory.
Peyer indicates that Zima is the official beverage of the LSH, but Tenzil
Kem is probably the only one that can drink it.
Peyer and McCraw had been discussing the Neron plotline from R.E.B.E.L.S.'96
#17, but there were no firm plans yet.
Readers will vote for Legion leader. Peyer wasn't sure which issue had the
leader-vote ballots, but he was told that they were on the way.
McCraw said that Jeff would have to stand behind him in bringing back the
Legion of Substitute Heroes. The supporting characters that were featured
in L* #35 are not the postboot Substitute Heroes.
Peyer agreed that there weren't enough female Legion villains and promised
to get right on it.
Peyer observed that we don't know Spark well enough to know if she's gay.
Roger Stern and McCraw have been discussing the Space Canine Patrol.
Universo isn't in the books--yet. Peyer indicated that when we do see
Universo, it will probably be planned as a surprise.
McCraw is responsible for Chuck Taine's knowledge of angles in Legionnaires #35.
Peyer indicates that McCraw is the only person who knows all of Star Boy's
new powers.
Peyer responded to criticism that LSH #79 didn't advance the story by
pointing out that Brainiac 5 got out of jail, Star Boy saved Leviathan, and
that the LSH was generally in better shape on page 1 than they were on page 22.
With respect to her performance in LSH #79, Peyer observed that Shrinking
Violet is a great fighter but nobody's perfect. He pointed out that the
Fatal Five is tough, even for Vi.
Two Legionnaires--one of each sex--are receiving new uniforms soon.
We'll be learning more about Gates soon, but not in a spotlight story.
McCraw believes that Kinetix will stay in the outfit from L* #34 for a
while. Jeff likes it. Jeff indicated that the pointy-eared look will last .
We'll see more of Dirk Morgna in LSH #81.
Some of the heroes from the Xanthu story in LSH #82 have preboot
counterparts, and some do not.
Insect Queen shows up in LSH #82. She is not Lori Morning. Her initials
are "LL".

Peyer noted that PREVIEWS talks too much when a fan brought up the leader
election announced therein. McCraw expressed surprise that the election
would take place in the announced issue.
Jo gets a new look, including a Legionnaires belt in L* #37.
The cover to LSH #82 shows a ghostly arm reaching out of Ultra Boy's chest.)
McCraw asked if we thought there was something to the cover of LSH #82.
McCraw noted that the cover is not a red herring, but it's not what we think
it is. (Peyer pointed out that telling if it was a red herring would defeat
the purpose of a red herring.) McCraw told a fan that if you think the
cover is Tinya, "then go with it." He admitted that it's someone's arm. He
said that we'd have to wait for the issue to see what the cover means and
noted that they were getting the speculation that they wanted. Peyer added
that if someone had an arm coming out of their chest, he'd be polite enough
not to say anything.
