===============
KC claims that he doesn't celebrate Klordny.
McCraw indicated that the LSH stories had been roughly plotted
out through 90-something. He was working on LSH #88 at the time
of the chat. The plot for L* #44 was also being worked on.
McCraw believes that flight packs are available but expensive in
the 30th century.
There are no plans for the LSH to make an appearance in the
Superman cartoon.
There are no plans for Timber Wolf for a while. There are no
current plans for Chemical King.
Dev-Em is not high on the creators' list of priorities. They've
got lots of other characters to reappear first.
Karate Kid will stay around, but will not be a major player for a
while.
There are no plans for Supergirl in the 30th century.
McCraw had restocked his supply of green just a week ago.
The Fatal Five will return, but there are no current plans for
their return. McCraw indicated that there may be plans for one
of the members.
McCraw indicated that there were some lighter issues coming up
after L* #41. He indicated that L* #43 would be a light issue.
When a fan commented about the dark nature of the Legion books in
recent months, KC indicated "the idea of maintaining a long,
continuing narrative includes periods of light AND dark." He
further stated that "some characters MUST change or the series
remains stagnant. The Legion has a tradition of change and doing
the unexpected, and we will continue to do so." He noted that
the creators can't please everyone. "There are some of you who
want this book to be NOTHING but the characters having fun. This
is not good storytelling."
KC conceded that there had been a few dark stories. He went on
to point out the dark issues were all part of the same story. He
promised that things would get better, then worse again, then
better, then worse, and so on.
McCraw indicated that there may be a chance for a gay
Legionnaire. The decision would depend on whether the story
could be told in the right way.
Apparition is part of the team that is stranded in the 20th
century. XS is part of the 30th century team.
The creators have some fun things planned for Inferno, including
her identity.
Nothing has been confirmed yet on the potential Legion/Marvel
Family meeting.
KC hinted that there was interesting new about a GL/LSH
crossover, but it was too early to provide details. He joked
that the crossover would involve the Emerald Eye taking over Hal
Jordan.
Peyer's favorite Emerald Legion costume was Brainiac 5's--he
likes the bulbs.
There are no plans for a Joker story in the 20th century yet, but
McCraw indicates that KC is weakening.
KC conceded that it would be cheap to bring Ferro into the FINAL
NIGHT crossover just to kill him.
McCraw indicated that someone was dying in FINAL NIGHT, but he
couldn't say who.
Peyer indicated that Leviathan was "pushin' up giant daisies!"
McCraw indicated that he didn't like characters' deaths and was
not happy about Leviathan's death, but he thinks the story made
sense of the death. KC indicated that maybe everyone should wait
and see how the story plays out.
Upcoming issues have new members joining and the return of a
couple of pre-Zero Hour villains. McCraw believes the new
members will add new energy to the team, and points out that two
of the members are female. Kid Quantum II and Catspaw are not
among the joining members. The new members are a combination of
new and reintroduced characters.
Jeff Moy is working on a new look for the villain that will first
appear in L* #45.
McCraw suggested that the 30th century team won't always think
that the 20th century team is dead.
