===============
The voting deadline for Legion leader was extended due to the
printing error that omitted the lettercol from LSH #83.
Roger states that DC is planning a company wide tribute to Curt
Swan in the books. He wasn't sure if the Legion would be doing
an extra tribute.
Tom reports that he screamed in horror when he saw the cover to
IMPULSE #17.
Roger thought that LSH Archives #6 would include stories from
ADVENTURE COMICS #350 through #358.
Rather than a third title, Roger would prefer to see the Legion
titles return to the newsstand with a $1.75 price tag. Tom
related Paul Levitz's remark at Chicago that the Legion titles
would need to see approximately 25,000 more copies per month to
warrant a third title.
Tom indicated that a little over a year had passed for the Legion
since the reboot. Roger thought that less than a year had
passed.
No word yet on Universo.
Tom thought Tenzil Kem should have his own cooking show. Roger
suggested a Tenzil Kem versus Galactus crossover.
No official founding date has been made canon for the postboot
Legion.
No romance is brewing between R.J. Brande and Winema Wazzo. Or
as Jeff said, "Yuck!"
The creators have plans to address the election depending on
whether a 20th century or 30th century character wins the
election. Tom had not yet seen any of the voting totals. KC was
apparently surprised by the number of votes after the first week.
Tom suggests that Dr. Regulus overloaded Dirk Morgna and caused
him to expel all of his energy.
Tom always thought that Quicksand and Holdur were unique
characters, and that's part of why he used them in SHOWCASE '96
#8.
Tom indicates that we will see both Leviathan and Shrinking
Violet in the next L* issue, but warned not to ask how.
Jeff misses Leviathan. Roger indicates that we're supposed to
miss Leviathan--that means that the creators are doing their job
right. Roger protested that Dr. Regulus killed Leviathan.
Tom indicated that if not for the Emerald Eye that the whole
sequence of events leading to Leviathan's death might have
happened differently.
Tom predicts that fans will be happy with L* #43. Lots of
characters are showing up.
After FINAL NIGHT, the 20th century Legion will meet Deadman and
have a two part crossover in SHOWCASE '96 #11 & #12.
Ferro is Andrew Nolan--not Douglas. Roger hopes that Ferro will
last longer than one month after being reintroduced in
conjunction with FINAL NIGHT.
Roger's favorite character this week is XS, and that's why she's
starring in the L* Annual. He wasn't sure whether she'd keep the
spot after the new Legionnaires joined.
