We spent some time doping this out on LW a while back, and it looked a lot like XCel was XS and the GotG's ALETA (pre-Valentino) merged, not XS and Pietro... - Reboot (SoM) talk page 10:53, 6 January 2007 (PST)

I'll take your word for it... I don't remember Aleta that much, but after reading her Wikipedia entry, she doesn't have powers that would make her a compatible amalgam with XS like Quicksilver would have. I think that's quite probable, which is why it took forever to come up with who XS was Amalgamed with on that thread. Caucasian blonde with a (mostly) turquoise costume and yellow symbol/detailing fits Aleta's original look though, and there's no indication of some sort of colouring screw up like Kinetix/Phoenix and Shadowcat/Apparition had. I expect they just wanted to get as many of the GotG in there as possible (and, as Starhawk was Firestorm-style merged with Aleta, they sort of got them both in by getting her in there).

And, looking at the page again, there's a chunk of Storm in AmalgamDarkstar too (since neither Umbra nor Darkstar were either black or white-haired. And yes, there were treble-Amalgams, with Dr Strangefate being the first to leap to mind [Dr Strange/Dr Fate/Professor X]) - Reboot (SoM) talk page 17:09, 6 January 2007 (PST)
