Foundations: Celebrating 45 years of the Legion
Notes
- This issue features the last Legion-related work of influential LSH artist Dave Cockrum, who contributed the Mekt Ranzz flashback. He would die in 2006 after an extended illness.
Errata
- Mekt claims that it was his idea to attempt to recharge the Ranzz's ship with the lightning beasts, when all previous post-ZH depictions showed Ayla being the one to suggest it.

The Teen of Steel returns! THE LEGION #25: "Foundations"
Hot off the popular "Dream Crime" storyline, the Legion is set to embark on another monumental mission: "Foundations," a 6-part adventure that celebrates the Legion's 45th anniversary by introducing the team's newest member: Superboy!
Writers Dan Abnett & Andy Lanning and acclaimed new regular artists Chris Batista & Chip Wallace are joined by legendary LEGION artist Dave Cockrum (Uncanny X-Men), Paul Rivoche (DR. FATE covers), newcomer Eric Wight, and regular LEGION cover artists Tony Harris (STARMAN) and Tom Feister for THE LEGION #25, the extra-sized first installment of a story that promises to profoundly effect the Legion for years to come. And to add to the excitement, the first three parts of "Foundations" will ship fortnightly!
As "Foundations" begins, the Legion gains a new member…one who looks a lot like a certain member of the Teen Titans: Superboy! But is it the Superboy from the 21st century - or someone entirely new? The mystery of his identity begins here! And by the last page of THE LEGION #25, a dead hero returns, a young man finds his destiny, and an apocalyptic darkness prophesied in "Dream Crime" rears its hellish head!
