Participants Tom McCraw
Jeff Moy
I spent some time on AOL earlier this afternoon in an online chat with
Tom McCraw & Jeff Moy. They were annoying coy about upcoming plans for the
book. After donating $6 to the cause, I can only pass on a few tidbits:

Spoilers?

- If I read Tom's doublespeak correctly, Star Boy will be the next
Legionnaire. Whoever it is, he or she will have a cape. (But admit it,
wouldn't Tenzil look great with a cape?)

- No immediate plans for Jan, but the "Alchemist" name isn't highly regarded
by Tom

- No immediate plans for Dirk

- Chuck isn't being dismissed as a possibility. Tentative new codename is
Rebound. (Rather than Kurt Busiek's Image-like suggestion, "Deathboing")

- Tom attempted to put off speculation that Zoe was somehow involved with
the Emerald Eye. But his statement was rather suspicious, something to the
effect that they'd never said that Zoe was tied to the Eye. They didn't say
that she wasn't, either. Read into that one what you will.

- Jeff Moy is going to miss two straight issues of Legionnaires in the near
future. He's not doing #25, but he had just finished #26 today. (For those
of you who wonder how far ahead these things work.)

- Moy's also doing a Spark pin-up page for the Legionnaires annual

AOL hosts Legion chat every Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time. Tom said
he'd be there again next week, and I'd be happy to ask any question that
you'd all like me to. Nevertheless, I wouldn't expect much information to
be shared candidly.
